LS V8 6.2L engine is being remanufactured due to knocking noise. Most likely the engine was severely overheated which resulted in the damage to the portion of the head. We had to get head welded and refinished before we could start rebuilding. After replacement of pistons, rings, lifters, timing components, bearings, seals, oil pump, etc. the engine was like new.
